Finding God

This week has been interesting. When times are good it's easy to say "God has a plan for everything" to an grieving friend. It's easy to say "trust God" when times are easy. Been there done that. But then, when times are so good, even the smallest things can ruin them (at least for me they do) and you start to forget to trust God. That's been my story for the past few days, I haven't forgotten nor would I say "I don't trust God" but still, I was weary and discouraged. Then (of all places!) browsing a pinterest page I saw this quote:

"if God takes something away from you it's for your safety. He's looking out for your future even if you aren't. You can't see the future, God can."

I repinned the pin, exited out of my browser and hit the streets on my bike with a smile on my face. It may be a little thing. But through the littlest things, I'm learning to trust God.

I was thinking, some of my friends don't do Quiet Time, so, I'm posting this for anyone who wants to start.
How I started was talking to God about my day, at the end of each day I'd tell Him everything that happend about my day, what I had for breakfest, what games I played, if I made cookies or not, that kinda stuff, God longs to know us, He wants us to be close to Him, James 4:8 Draw near to the Lord and He will draw near to you. And for Bible reading, I just choose a random book, and read a chapter, Romans chapter 12 is awesome.:)
